Cornwall city council directed administration on Monday to undertake a cost analysis that would enable the creation of an inventory of all of the local sources of greenhouse gas emissions.

Doing so would assist the city in lowering its emissions footprint moving forward, according to the environment and climate change committee, who requested the analysis. The committee’s mandate includes the identifying and addressing of local sources of greenhouse gas emissions through the establishment of an inventory of all greenhouse gas sources, as well as setting reduction targets, and carrying out local climate-change action plans.
