TC at councilLLooking for continued support from the city, Transition Cornwall+ addressed city council on Monday night.

John Towndrow provided council with an update on activities the organization completed over the past year.

Transition Cornwall+ is part of an international movement working at the local level with ordinary citizens and collaborating with partners. It’s purpose is to strengthen the local economy, reduce the cost of living and build resilience for a future with[out] cheap energy and a changing climate.

“We believe that for our communities to withstand the challenge of uncertain times, we need to inspire and support positive local responses at every level,” said Towndrow. “By working together right now on an action plan for a lower energy lifestyle and the greater use of local and regional resources to meet our needs, we can lay the foundations for a stronger, safer, more caring future for all of us.”
