RESTAURANTS

All good things take time. Our priority is to strive to be quick and always deliver delicious, rather than subscribe to the franchise philosophy that believes quick can compensate for delicious.

Now past our 42nd year, 1000 Islands Restaurant & Pizzeria still maintains the tradition that founders Kanella and Nikita created and worked hard for – keeping our homemade pizza always authentic, never compromising quality.

We’ve tried to create a casual & comfortable place where the portions are generous, the music familiar & the staff … well, they’re nice to you.

Bud’s on the Bay is a great Brockville destination whether you’re looking for an early morning breakfast, a family dinner, or a late night drink.

Built in the late 1800s as a private residence, the building that now houses Buds still retains many of its original features. The downstairs pub, with its wooden floors, exposed brick, and grand staircase is a cozy place to meet friends for a meal or a drink. The upstairs dining room, in contrast, is flooded with light from its many windows, making you feel like you’re outside even when you’re not. As soon as the weather permits, our patios open allowing you to enjoy gorgeous waterfront views while you sip on your refreshing drinks. Regardless of where you choose to sit, you’ll be made to feel welcome.

The Transition Framework

Resilience is the ability of a system or community to withstand impacts from outside. An indicator is a good way of measuring that. Conventionally, the principal way of measuring a reducing carbon footprint is CO2 emissions. However, we firmly believe that cutting carbon while failing to build resilience is an insufficient response when you’re trying to address multiple shocks such as peak oil, climate change and the economic crisis together.
