The Brockville Farmers’ Market (BFM) is one of the 10 oldest markets in the province. Our members are dedicated farmers and gardeners, talented artists and artisans who are proud to offer a wide array of high quality – locally grown and produced products – from fresh produce, meat and poultry, maple and honey – to traditional or specialty home baking (including gluten-free), artisan breads and food ready-to-go – to all natural skin care products and beeswax candles – to many exceptional one of a kind jewel, woodwork creation – to so much more, including an enjoyable experience with the family.

The Transition Framework

Resilience is the ability of a system or community to withstand impacts from outside. An indicator is a good way of measuring that. Conventionally, the principal way of measuring a reducing carbon footprint is CO2 emissions. However, we firmly believe that cutting carbon while failing to build resilience is an insufficient response when you’re trying to address multiple shocks such as peak oil, climate change and the economic crisis together.
