Red Rams bring back climate lessons

Five members of the new club at BCI recently attended the 11th annual Adirondack Youth Climate Summit, held at the Wild Center in Tupper Lake, New York. The summit, held Nov. 6 and 7, focused on climate change and the role youth can play in addressing it.

Enviro Club members Danielle Storey, Lukas Redmond, Prutha Patel, Megan McKenna, and Meiling Segal were the only Canadian participants in the event, which brought together students from across New York State and a bit beyond. There were some 300 participants, roughly 250 of whom were students.

The summit focused on global warming and discussed ways students can mobilize their schools and communities to respond.
